What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular fairy fort in County Louth, Ireland, enclosing forty-one metres of earth and stone with no visible entrance or defensive ditch. The completed boundary suggests exclusion rather than invitation, while faint interior marks hint that small dwellings once occupied the space. The name itself points back at the person naming it, turning an ordinary field into a place that returns attention instead of receiving it.

In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Circular area (int. diam. 41m) enclosed by earth and stone bank. No visible fosse or entrance gap. Traces of two and possibly three hut sites (LH008-019002-, LH008-019003-, LH008-019004-) in interior.
