Cluain An Ghaill holds a rare angular bawn in County Meath, its flat stone edge cutting across the level land like a forgotten room. The tower house sits at one corner while a larger building claims most of the south side, suggesting the yard belonged to domestic life rather than display. People may have moved through that narrow rectangle with milk, tools, children or fear, making the stones witness instead of monument.

Situated on a level landscape. The tower house (ME017-019----) is at the SE angle of a rectangular enclosure (dims c. 30m ENE-WSW; c. 20m NNW-SSE) defined by masonry walls that could have constituted a bawn.
