What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Cavan, Ireland, where a low earthen bank and shallow fosse still mark a circular space fifty-two metres across. Farmers long since folded that boundary into ordinary fields, yet the ring persists beneath grass and traffic. It may have housed people, excluded ghosts, or simply marked the edge of human knowledge. The lost entrance suggests the fort still keeps its own secret.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 52.6m) enclosed by a low earthen bank and a narrow, shallow fosse, both of which have been incorporated into the field boundary. Perimeter has been levelled from S-SW-W but its outline is nonetheless identifiable. Original entrance not recognisable.
