What is recorded here
Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history thins into myth. The soil may have held a village, a boundary marker or a forgotten home before becoming a warning in local mouths. People may have drawn circles in the dirt, refused entry or watched lights move above the ridge. The fort still indicates something, perhaps the limit of human certainty or the beginning of a story no one finished.
