What is recorded here
Marked faintly as a circular feature (diam. c. 70m) with buildings in the SW quadrant on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a gentle NE-facing slope. This is a circular area (diam. 42m NW-SE) used as a farmyard which is defined by a scarp (H 0.4m at SE to 1.4m at NW) and hedge WNW-N-SE, with farm buildings impinging on the perimeter elsewhere. A fosse (Wth of top 4m; Wth of base 1.8m, D 0.6m), which is partly re-cut as a drain, is visible NW-N.
