On the crest of a low E-W drumlin ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 37.2m E-W; 35m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.7-4.8m; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 0.2-0.9m), which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.2m) NE-SSE, separated by a fosse (Wth of top 5.7-7.3m; Wth of base 2.6-4m; D 0.6-0.9m) from an earthen bank and hedge (Wth 3.8-6m; H 0.9-1.1m). There is an outer fosse (Wth of top 4.8-6.2m; Wth of base 3-4m; D 0.2-0.4m) NW-E-S which is expanded into ponds at E and S-W. There is an entrance through the inner (Wth 3.5m) and outer (Wth 4m) banks at SW, while an E-W field bank and townland boundary that bisected the site has been removed.
