Indicated is a broken ringfort on a narrow Mayo ridge, its outer stone bank still tracing a ghost circle above the pasture. Later field walls cut through the ancient earth, turning a private fortress into ordinary farmland while the panoramic view remains untouched. The place records human ambition and forgetfulness at once, preserving enough shape to suggest that people once valued the height and the horizon.

In pasture, located on top of a narrow E-W ridge, with panoramic view. This originally circular, bivallate ringfort was incorporated into a later system of field walls, and partly levelled. The remains consist of a subcircular area (c. 25m E-W; c. 23m N-S) defined W−NNE by a sod-covered bank (Wth 1.6m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.6m, at W) of earth and stone, and NE−E by traces of a levelled scarp, overlain by a N-S field wall. The SE−S edge of the ringfort is truncated by a pronounced straight E-W scarp/field boundary, coinciding with the top of the natural ridge slope. The SSW−W arc of the enclosure has been removed. An outer stone bank (Wth 2.2m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.6m) survives in an arc at SW−NNW, with an intervening gap or fosse (Wth 2m) which is evident as a flat area or terrace rather than a sunken feature. The interior is relatively level. A sod-covered, roughly semicircular slightly raised feature (diam. 3.7m E-W; H 0.25m), with stones protruding around the edge, is located slightly NW of centre. Roughly in the centre of this is a sod-covered heap (diam. c. 2m; H 0.25m) of earth and stones. These features may be the result of field clearance. A field bank on a N-S axis extends through the E half of the interior. This originally flanked the W side of a farm track which cut across the E edge of the ringfort. The remnants of the enclosing elements incorporate much stone, but it is unclear if this ringfort is a cashel, or whether it is a rath whose banks were modified by incorporation into later field walls.
