What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular rath thirty-two metres across, buried in low Galway marshland where a scarp and partial fosse still mark its edge. It stands beside another earthwork a hundred metres east, suggesting a small cluster of lives rather than a lonely monument. The name sounds like a pointer, as if the site existed to be found and read, not hidden.

In low-lying grassland bordering on marshland to W. Circular rath (D 32m), in fair condition, defined by a bank and external fosse. A scarp forms the enclosing element at NW, and the fosse survives only at NW. An earthwork (GA061-068----) lay 100m to ENE.
