What is recorded here
Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, Ireland. The earth may have swallowed a whole village or hidden a single mother from a passing king. People dropped bread outside the ring and waited for crumbs to return marked with red. Some came back empty-handed, but they stopped fearing the dark because the fort had answered the request for witness.
