What is recorded here
Situated on a gentle NE-facing slope between a stream and the Redcross River. Shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a large enclosure (diam. c. 100m), and indicated by a curved field boundary on the 1907 map, the site appears to have been levelled in the recent past.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
