What is recorded here

Indicated was a fairy fort in County Galway, a roughly circular earthen enclosure about twenty-six metres across, clipped on one side by a field boundary before pasture and time erased every visible trace. It belonged to the old landscape when people still walked rolling land without roads or cameras, and its disappearance fits the region where human markers fade while story markers resist forgetting.
In gently rolling pastureland. Marked on the 3rd edition of the OS 6-inch map (1933) as a roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 26m). An ENE-WSW running field boundary clipped it S. No visible surface trace survives. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 19 February 2019
