What is recorded here
Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history thins into myth. The soil may have held a small home, a boundary marker or a warning before it became a place people pointed at instead of naming. That loss of identity is the shape of the story: a fort so old or so forgotten it stopped being a person’s address and became a destination for legends.
