Indicated is a natural gorse-covered hillock in County Galway, Ireland, mislabelled as a crannog on old maps. The 1930 edition named it Cnocanroe, while the 1st edition OS 6-inch map showed an enclosed roughly circular tree copse. Inspection in 1990 revealed neither a dwelling nor a designed island, only a small rise clothed in gorse and surrounded by ordinary ground.
