Indicated is a shallow stone ring hiding in boggy Clare pasture, marked on maps since 1840 but reduced to a grassy lip and scattered rubble. The conifers press close on three sides, blocking the sky and turning the cashel into a dark chamber where human shadow may have breathed before the trees took it back.

In boggy scrubby pasture, on a gentle S-facing slope, c. 100m E of Knocknaskeagh River, surrounded by conifer plantations to E, W, and S. Indicated as enclosure on the 1840 and 1916 eds. OS 6-inch maps. Listed as an ‘enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). A poorly preserved subcircular cashel (diam. 20m) largely defined by a grassed-covered stone wall with collapsed material along its base (Wth 3-4m; H 0.4m). At NNW the enclosing element is composed of an earthen bank (Wth 2.5-3m; H 0.15m). The interior is very overgrown. A clearance cairn lies within the N quadrant, with a second immediately outside the enclosure at NNW.
