What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Carrownacreevy (leyny By.), County Sligo, Ireland. The site sits in pasture on a level rise and appears on the 1914 OS 6-inch map as a small circular enclosure about twenty metres across. Local information says the cashel was levelled around 1950 when much stone was removed from its perimeter. It is now barely discernible except for a slight lip two and a half metres wide.

According to local information, the cashel was levelled c. 1950 and a lot of stone was removed from the perimeter at that time.
