Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrowgarve (roscommon By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. The subcircular grass and rush-covered area measures 41m E-W and 35m N-S towards the bottom of a gentle NW-facing slope. An earthen bank defines the SSE-W-NNW perimeter while a reed band marks the fosse, with a 2.2m entrance and 2.4m causeway at NNW.

Towards the bottom of a gentle NW-facing slope. Subcircular grass and rush-covered area (dims 41m E-W; 35m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.5-2.7m; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 0.7-1.1m) SSE-W-NNW which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.2-0.8m) elsewhere. There is a fosse represented by a band of reeds (Wth of base 2.5m generally to 7m at E) which is truncated by a NW-SE field bank at SW. The entrance (Wth 2.2m) and causeway (Wth 2.4m) are at NNW.
