Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carnyara, County Sligo, Ireland. The oval site contains three earthen banks separated by dry fosses, with the outer bank holding large stones. Bushes cover the interior, where a possible hut site and underground passage remain visible.

On level ground, on the N-facing slope of a ridge. An oval area (30m N-S; 37m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.3m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.3m) S-W and by a scarp (H 0.7m) elsewhere. An intervening dry flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 7.6m) separates the inner bank and the scarp from a middle flat-topped earthen bank (Wth 4.7m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 1.75m). The middle bank is separated from an outer bank by a dry flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 5m; D 0.3m) which survives all round except at SE. The outer bank (Wth 2m; int. H 1m; ext. H 0.3m) is evident N-ESE and contains large stones. The interior is overgrown with bushes and in the centre is a possible hut site (SL032-007003-) and an associated possible Man-made underground passage (SL032-070002-).
