Sited on the SW shoulder of a high drumlin hill. Low circular earthen mound (diam. 5m; H 0.5m) enclosed by a low earthen bank with shallow internal fosse. One of six small circular enclosures noted on OS 1836 and 1876 eds. under the collective designation 'Cromwell's Camp' - presumably a barrow cemetery. This is the only upstanding barrow of the former complex. It is known locally as the site of 'Cromwell's tent'. Neolithic circular enclosure or ring barrow; dates to the early to middle Neolithic period (c. 4000–3000 BCE). Its association with a drumlin and presence on early Ordnance Survey maps suggest it may be part of a wider ceremonial or funerary landscape.
