Marked on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a subcircular enclosure (max. diam. c. 40m NW-SE) with a possible mound in the interior at W. The townland boundary between Capponellan and Clonageera bisects the enclosure on a NW-SE axis. Only the E half of the enclosure is indicated as a semi-circular tree plantation on the 1906 edition of the OS 6-inch map. The area where the enclosure was depicted on the 1838 6-inch map was subsequently planted with trees as indicated on the 1906 edition of the OS 6-inch map. The enclosure was situated on a ridge.
