What is recorded here

Indicated occupies a slight NE-facing slope on the Rinneen peninsula in County Mayo, Ireland. A circular enclosure marked on an 1838 survey has been levelled into pasture, leaving no visible trace. It may have been a ringfort, a place where people lived, worked and witnessed the changing light.
