Indicated

One of a group of five huts and located about 50m SW of KE087-024----. A well-built drystone corbelled hut with rounded external corners. It measures 5.4m square internally. Its walls stand to a maximum height of 1.25m and average 2m thick. The entrance, with slightly inclining coursed jambs, is located midway along the NE wall; two displaced lintels lie close by. It measures 1.95m long, .95m high and .77m wide at base. A lintelled ope, erroneously referred to by Henry as a flue (1957, 91) and by Westropp as a doorway (1912, 300), pierces the SE wall; it measures .42m high, .44m wide at base and is 2.1m long. A wall-niche occurs in the NW wall, close to the W angle; it measures .38m x .38m x .52m deep. Much stone collapse from the hut has spilled downslope to SE. A projecting slab protrudes from the external wall-face at the E angle and a large irregular block of quartz abuts the N external angle. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
