What is recorded here

Indicated is a broken stone ring in County Cavan, Cavan, Ireland, not marked on the 1836 or 1876 maps because human hands already took its upper wall and scattered the stones into nearby field boundaries. What remains is a low circular scar, wide enough for thirty people to stand inside and narrow enough to forget. The fort did not disappear; it became the shape of the farmland around it.

Not marked on OS 1836 or 1876 eds. Raised circular area (int. diam. 28.3m) enclosed by the base of a stone rampart. The upper courses of the wall have been removed and the stone apparently utilised as building material for field boundaries in the vicinity. Original entrance not recognisable.
