What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Kildare, a 36-metre earthen ring perched on a low plateau above the Barrow valley. It is the kind of place where human history and fantasy history stop competing and become one language. The field around it has been worked and rewritten so often that the ring itself has become the clearest fact left behind.
Prominently sited near the S end of a low plateau in tillage overlooking the Barrow valley to the SW. A circular area (diam. 36m) is defined by a low earthen bank but with no obvious trace of a fosse (although traces of a fosse were visible in 1955 (Danaher 1955, no. 674)). Date of upload: 8 September 2016

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
