What is recorded here

Indicated is a broken earthen ring in County Cork, its western arc still marking a lost circle while the southern half has vanished into pasture. The land remains Pairc a Leasa, a familiar local name for a place where human hands shaped soil before memory faded. What is missing is not an error of record but a clue: the field changed, the ring slipped from sight, and the area continued to carry the shape of what it once held.

In pasture. Arc formed by earthen field boundary W->E (c. 45m E-W) may be remains of circular enclosure; no visible surface trace of S half. Area known locally as 'the lios' and within field called 'Pairc a Leasa' (Hartnett 1939, 226). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
