What is recorded here

Indicated is a shallow earthen ring in County Mayo, large enough for a small household but low enough that grass and rain have nearly erased its edges. Four stone mounds still mark the interior, suggesting people lived, worked or played inside the circle before the land forgot their names. The eastern ramp and western gap remain visible, inviting imagination about who entered, who left and what they carried into the undulating pasture.

In undulating pasture, on E-facing slope, ringfort (MA118-110001-) 150m to N. Circular area (31m N-S; 33m E-W), defined by earthen bank (H 0.5m). Four low stone mounds in interior. Ramp entrance (L 6.2; Wth 1.6m) on E, with linear earthen banks on either side. Gap on WNW. The above description has been derived from D.
