Indicated

Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

Indicated is a D-shaped fairy fort on a SW-facing Burren slope, its straight south-west edge marked by a narrow wall riding a wider, older line. Sheep still walk the pasture beside it, unaware that the stones have watched weather and feet for centuries. The fort does not demand belief; it waits patient and solid while the plateau turns above it.
On a SW-facing slope in pasture on the Burren plateau, within a multiperiod field system (CL005-108001-). A D-shaped area (c. 15m NW-SE) with a straight SW side (c. 19m) defined by a narrow stone wall that appears to lie on a wider earlier enclosing feature. Visible on Digital Globe (2011-2013). Compiled by: Mary Tunney Date of upload: 10 November 2025
