Marked only on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6 inch map as a circular feature (diam. c. 15m), and situated on a shelf towards the E end of a low E-W ridge. It is described by John O’Donovan writing c. 1840 as a small rectangular mound (dims. c. 13m E-W; c. 11m N-S; H c. 1.5m) adjacent to teh church (WX037-024001-) (O'Flanagan, 1933, vol. 1. 359). It is not visible at ground level in rough pasture. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). A Neolithic passage tomb, dating to the 4th–3rd millennium BCE; its circular plan and rectangular chamber suggest early megalithic construction traditions in the region.
