Indicated stands on Annaghroe Island in Lough Conn, where a twenty-five metre embankment once rose before humans or water erased it. The lost fort may have housed families, hidden lovers or marked a boundary now forgotten. Its absence does not diminish it; it proves the land can take back what it wants.

Located on the NE side Annaghroe Island in the NE end of Lough Conn. The island lies close to the shore and is accessible via a causeway (MA039-069----), indicated as ‘Ford’ on the 1930 OS 6-inch map. This possible rath is shown on the 1838 and 1930 OS 6-inch maps as an embanked enclosure (diam. c. 25m). It has been entirely levelled; there is no visible trace at ground level.
