What is recorded here

Indicated is a small circular island in Corratinner Lough, County Cavan, sitting forty metres from the shore. Its eighteen-metre frame suggests a crannog, perhaps a home, shrine or refuge built above open water. The distance from land is close enough for a rope, oar or thrown line, yet far enough to make entry a choice rather than an accident.
