What is recorded here
There is no surface trace of the subcircular enclosure marked on both editions of the OS maps at this location. It was situated in an uneven field on the lower W slopes of Farraniaragh mountain, and overlooked Ballinskelligs Bay to W.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 831. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
