Icehouse in Castlebernard is a circular stone chamber built into a north-facing woodland slope beside Castle Bernard house. Its thick walls, sunken floor and domed roof were designed to hold ice through summer for the household above. The structure still stands as a quiet relic of domestic craft, preserving the chill of winter long after the snow has vanished.

In woodland, built into N-facing slope in demesne of Castle Bernard house. Circular in plan (H 3.4m; int. diam. c. 6m; wall thickness 0.85m); sunken interior (D 3m).
