Hut site in Tuar An Chladáin

On a natural terrace on the steep S slopes of Coomacarrea, overlooking the Inny river valley. A circular hut (KE081-037----) of drystone corbelled construction, modified for use as a sheepfold. An entrance, .5m wide, located at NE. D: 3.9m. Two annexes, each surviving only one course high, extend from the hut externally at SW. A lintelled chamber, probably a lamb shelter, occurs directly at SE, and slightly to S a crudely built animal shelter is built up against the E side of a large outcrop. A short distance to W and close to a stream, the foundations of a rectangular hut (KE081-037001-) with a well-marked entrance at NE. D: 6m x 2.8m. Three annexes abut the hut at NE.
