Half a metre of stone and earth still marks the hut where someone lived beneath Geokaun, caught between a rath and an underground passage on Valencia Island. O'Connell saw grave sites beside it in 1937, suggesting the home and death were never far apart. The small lintelled chamber in its north wall may have held a jar, a tool or a memory too ordinary to record.

Located in pasture on the lower SW slopes of Geokaun, Valencia Island, midway between a rath (KE078-010001-) and a Man-made underground passage (KE078-011----). The ruined remains of a subcircular hut, described by O'Connell in 1937 as an 'earth and stone ring with grave sites' (OPW). A lintelled drystone wall chamber in the inner wall-face at N measures .25m high, .4m wide and at least 1m deep. D: 6.3m x 4.4m. Small amorphous mounds and depressions directly S of hut.
