Hut site in Skeagh (carbery West (w.d) By.)

In rough hill pasture, at the foot of a S-facing cliff to the S of the summit of Mount Gabriel. The remains of a D-shaped hut site (1.65m N-S) defined by the horizontally laid lower courses of a partially collapsed, curving, drystone wall (T 0.45m; H 0.5m) with straight N side (L 3.1m) consisting of the vertical face of a cliff at the N. A break at the W may indicate the entrance location. The hut site has been raised (H 0.2m) at the S to create a level interior, which is partially obscured by rubble.
