Hut site in Scarteen (dunkerron South By.)

In rough hill grazing, on a terrace on the S-facing slopes of Knockleama and within a field system (KE083-023002-). The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 6m) defined by the lower courses of a partially collapsed stone wall (T 0.75m; H 0.6m). There is a scatter of loose stones on the level interior. A wall of the field system is in the immediate vicinity of the SE arc of this hut site. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
