Hut site in Scarteen (dunkerron South By.)

In rough hill grazing, on a peaty terrace on the S-facing slopes of Knockleama and within a field system (KE083-023002-). The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 7m) defined by a drystone wall (T 0.65m; H 0.55m) S-NE and by stones protruding intermittently just above the surface of the bog NE-S. There is an enclosure (KE083-023001-) c. 30m to the NE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
