Hut site in Scarteen (dunkerron South By.)

In rough hill grazing, on a peaty terrace on the S-facing slopes of Knockleama and within a field system (KE083-023002-). The remains of a D-shaped hut site (3.1m N-S) defined by a jumbled stone wall (T 0.7m; H 0.4m) with a straight N side (L 3.5m). Field walls abut the hut site at the W and E. There is an enclosure (KE083-023016-) c. 38m to the E. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
