Hut site in Long Island

A small hut, surviving as a sod-covered stony bank of subrectangular plan, abuts the S side of another hut (KE087-033003-) and is partly incorporated into the enclosing element. It measures 3.1m E-W x 2.4m N-S internally, and sections of horizontally coursed drystone masonry are visible internally at N, E and W. Its wall averages 1.5m thick and is .5m high. A .8m wide entrance gap is located at E. The hut is located on a low platform that is defined by a scarp at NE and SW. The above description is derived from O'Sullivan, A. and Sheehan, J.
