Hut site in Kilteely — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Kilteely Hill has a hidden chamber in its northwest quadrant, a circular hollow only three metres across that defies easy belief. A shallow scarp and narrow fosse mark the entrance, while a low outer bank guards the space from E-NNW. The chamber is small enough for one person or a small dog, yet its deliberate shape suggests it served a purpose now lost. Perhaps it stored tools, sheltered a child during storms, or marked a boundary within the larger ringfort. The hill kept this room secret from historic maps, revealing it only through modern survey in 2007.

In flat pasture 550 E of summit of Kilteely Hill (OD 580 ft.) and 100m S of townland boundary with Ballyvouden. In NW quadrant of ringfort (LI033-014----). interior. Not depicted on the OSi historic map. Surveyed by the ASI in 2007 and described as a circular-shaped area (diam. 3.2m) defined by a scarp (H 0.15m) and fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.1m) with a low outer bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.05m; ext. H 0.4m) from E-NNW. No surface remains visible on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12 or on Google Earth orthoimages. See attached Google Earth orthoimages.
