Four metres north-east of the main ringfort, a low circular bank still marks the possible hut. The earth ridge is two and a half to three and a half metres wide, rises about one metre, and leaves a two-metre gap facing south-east. Inside measures six and a half metres from east to west, large enough for a hearth, a sleeping place and the shadow of someone moving through a Kerry dawn.

Extending from the ringfort (KE009-005----) c 4m NE are the possible remains of a hut site (KE009-006----) measuring 6.5m E-W internally. It consists of a circular area enclosed by a bank, 2.5m-3.5m wide, which rises to a height of c 1m. A 2m wide gap to the SE provides an opening into the interior.
