In moorland, on SSE side of Cooper's Rock. Rectangular area (4m N-S; 5m E-W), heavily overgrown with occasional stones protruding through overgrowth. According to local information, area is enclosed by low earth and stone bank revetted on inside by large slabs; entrance to SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
