Hut site in Gortderrig

In rough heather-covered hill pasture in cutaway bog, on the lower N-facing slopes of the East Pap of Dana and within a network of relict field walls (KE068-126001-). The remains of a roughly circular hut (6m N-S; 5m E-W) defined by the well-constructed, lower courses of a collapsed stone wall (T 1.8m; H 1.5m). The wall consists of random rubble and is best preserved along the W arc. A collapsed N-S drystone wall in the centre of the interior may be a later addition. There is an entrance (Wth 1m) at E. Rubble is scattered within the E half of the interior and also along the perimeter, both internally and externally.
