Hut site in Doire Mhór Thoir — Report the wrong picture

Doire Mhór Thoir holds a circular bivallate rath where briars and gorse have strangled the truth. Inside the wooden chamber, ghostly hut arcs and an underground passage wait for someone brave enough to follow them. The bay watches from a short distance above, patient and certain the earth will give up its secrets eventually.

Circular bivallate rath KE037-009---- is situated on level ground about 300m S of Tralee Bay. The entire monument is densely wooded and overgrown with briars and gorse, but an extensive Man-made underground passage and traces of hut-sites are visible in the interior. Hut-sites: The hut-sites in the interior are represented by several spreads of stone and arcs of stony banks but it was not possible to determine their number, lay-out or dimensions.
