Magic and myth shape Coollick, yet the chamber of a rath is a human work. The chamber is a hollow place for a visible ritual. The chamber may have held a sacred fire, a buried vessel or a seasonal gathering. The chamber still points to the hidden life that built the rath.

Within the SW quadrant of a rath (KE058-044----). The remains of this possible hut site (diam. c. 8m N-S) is defined by an overgrown raised circular platform consisting of broken shaley stone. It is situated 7.5m due N of the S bank of the rath and c. 4m due E of the W bank. The S portion of the hut has been damaged by a mechanical digger.
