West wind still moves through the valley below Lisnahorna, carrying the smell of rain and grass into the hollow where a small stone mound lies half buried. The mound is less than half a metre high and seven metres long, too thin to prove much, yet large enough to imagine a roof, a fire and a person watching the water climb the tributary. Above that chamber of guesswork, the rath holds its bank and fosse like a closed fist, keeping the valley’s noise at a distance.

Lisnahorna/Lios na hEornan: Univallate rath KE043-131---- situated on a W facing slope overlooking the narrow valley of a tributary of the Milltown river. It is enclosed by an earthen bank and fosse and there is a Man-made underground passage (KE043-131001-) and possible hut-site (KE043-131002-) in the interior. A low mound of stone collapse in the interior of the site may mark the site of a hut but there is too little evidence for definite interpretation. The mound is 6.8m long and no more than .4m high.
