Hut site in Canalough

On an E-W rough pasture ridge with occasional outcropping rock, on the seashore on the S side of Blackball Harbour. The poorly preserved remains of a rectangular hut site (4.4m N-S; 3m E-W) defined by a grass-covered bank (Wth 0.8m; H 0.4m) of earth and stone. Several sheep gaps occur through the bank causing variations in bank height. The sea has eroded the N bank and the N extremities of the E and W banks. The interior is uneven and some grass-covered stones occur at its S end. There is a hut site (CO127-050017-) 17m to the W and another hut site (CO127-050019-) is 25m to the E.
