Hut site in Canagullen

In boggy hill pasture, on a S-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Glanmore River and within a network of relict field boundaries (KE111-025004-). The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 3.35m) defined by large stone slabs (H 0.95m; 0.95m x 0.25m) set upright along the perimeter, especially SW-N, and by prostrate stones N-SW which protrude above the surface of the bog. There is an outer row of upright stone slabs along the external NW arc. The hut site is cut (D 0.2m) into the upslope at N. There is a possible entrance at SE defined by an upright slab (H 0.5m; 0.55m x 0.3m) at the S side which is set at right angles to the wall of the hut site.
