Hut site in Canagullen

Within the NE sector of an enclosure (KE111-025001-). The remains of a D-shaped hut site (2.3m NE-SW) defined by a curving drystone wall (T c. 0.6m; H 0.6m) with a straight NE side (L 3.2m NW-SE) which is formed by the vertical face of outcropping rock. The hut site is cut (D 0.6m) into the upslope at NW. Rubble from the collapsed upper courses is scattered along the perimeter, especially downslope to the SE. There is an entrance (Wth 0.55m) at S. Another hut site (KE111-025003-) is 24m to the SSW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
