Holt (1912, 228) wrote about a small hut, a yard and two holes opening into a man-made underground passage beside the rath. McCaffrey (1952, 122, no. 39) found neither, while local people said the passage had been closed up. The hut may still be buried under grass, waiting for someone curious enough to look beside the field wall.

In grassland. Holt (1912, 228) recorded that immediately to the E of the rath (GA094-013----) 'beyond a field wall, are the foundations of a small hut [GA094-013002-] and yard, below which, as revealed by two apertures is a 'Man-made underground passage' (GA094-013001-). McCaffrey (1952, 122, no. 39) could not find the 'hut' or 'Man-made underground passage', and local people informed him that the latter had been closed up. Not located.
