In rough hill pasture, on bog, on the SE-facing slopes of Maulin overlooking the valley of the Owgarriff River. The remains of a D-shaped hut site (1.8m E-W) defined by a curving stone wall (T 0.55m; H 0.6m) with a straight W side (L 1.9m) comprising the linear face of outcropping rock. Rubble is scattered along the perimeter and in the interior of the hut site, which is partially obscured by rushes. There is a hut site (CO115-103001-) 10m to the S and another hut site (CO115-103003-) 8m to the N. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
